Wages. Job Security.
We deserve a union election. The first step is signing a card.
In order to join together into a union, Crewmembers must pass two democratic tests. The first one is passed when 50% of workers sign an "Authorization Card," also called an A-Card.
The National Mediation Board, an agency of the Federal Government, requires that at least 50% of employees within a job classification company-wide (i.e. AO or GO Crewmembers) show interest in joining a union by signing an Authorization Card, also called an "A-Card."
The second democratic test is the actual election among the workers -- which determines for a second time that they want to join a union.
Signing cards is the critical first step. In order to win a legally binding contract, and be awarded the legal rights that come with union membership, please sign a card today.
